Hello, everyone! It's been about a month. If you didn't see my most recent FB post, I explain my inactivity and what the dynamics of AYAA are going to look like in the months to come. So say hello to the Halloween Edition of AYAA Dreamcasting. Halloween in my favorite day of the year and I am so excited to celebrate it on AYAA.

When people think of musicals, they tend to think either light and fluffy with tap numbers and ingenues or very dramatic and filled with operatic melodies. However, the category of "dark musicals" is actually a rather large one. These shows all are related due to their shared interest in the spooky and scary, BUT they also vary from comedies, like Little Shop of Horrors and The Addams Family Musical, to serious horror dramas, like Carrie. 

I had young actors from Arizona cast shows from all across the horror genres. Thank you to Bailey Gorman, Peyton Flake, Sarah Davidson, Jessica Sinodis, Johnna Watson, Nick Williams, Grace Napoletano, Reagan Burrows, Summer Beckman, and Ethan Shaker for casting some shows for me. I also cast The Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, which are not currently stage musicals, but are often considered two movies that could be well adapted to the stage. (There are even rumors of The Nightmare Before Christmas being staged!)
